How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Service Engineer (UPS / Critical Power)

    £45,000 + (£60,000 OTE) Specialist Training + Progression + Bonus + Door to Door + Overtime

    Home Based (Commutable from: Reading, Oxford, Luton, Bedford, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Slough, Milton Keynes and surrounding areas)

    Are you an Electrical Field Service Engineer with experience in UPS, Power Electronics, Inverters, Battery Systems or similar equipment, looking to join a market-leading manufacturer offering specialist technical training, excellent earning potential and long-term career progression?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to become a technical expert within the critical power industry, receiving extensive manufacturer training while benefiting from a highly autonomous field-based role and door-to-door overtime.

    The company are an established manufacturer of specialist power protection equipment, supplying critical power solutions to a range of industries including Data Centres, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Infrastructure. Due to continued growth, they are looking to expand their experienced service team.

    In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and commissioning UPS and associated electrical power systems across customer sites. You will receive ongoing technical development including specialist UPS, electrical and high voltage training.

    This role would suit an Electrical or Electronic Service Engineer with experience in UPS systems or transferable electrical power equipment, looking to develop specialist expertise within a growing industry.

    The Role:

    Service, Maintenance, Fault Finding and Commissioning of UPS / Critical Power Systems
    Monday - Friday Home-based, covering a regional patch
    Door to Door Overtime, Bonus and Excellent Benefits

    The Person:

    Electrical / Electronic Engineering background
    Experience with UPS, Power Electronics, Inverters, Batteries, Generators or similar electrical systems
