LYNX Employment is recruiting two experienced Housing Services Managers to lead service improvement and transformational change across a local authority’s housing services. These senior leadership roles offer the opportunity to strengthen team performance, improve accountability and deliver measurable improvements for residents.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of Housing Management, you will provide visible leadership across tenancy management, income collection, estate services, tenant engagement and housing support.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and developing high-performing teams, promoting accountability and ownership.
Assessing service performance and implementing practical improvements.
Using performance data, resident feedback and quality assurance findings to improve services.
Overseeing tenancy and estate management, income collection and tenancy sustainment.
Supporting housing transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, consumer standards and regulatory requirements.
Supporting inspection readiness and regulatory assurance activities.
Managing budgets, performance targets and service risks.
Working collaboratively with elected Members, colleagues and partner organisations.
About You:
We are looking for confident housing professionals who can quickly identify priorities, lead change and deliver tangible results.
You will need:
Extensive housing management experience within a local authority, registered provider or similar setting.
At least five years’ experience managing staff, with strong leadership and development skills.
A proven track record of delivering service improvements and managing change.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulation and operational housing services.
Experience managing budgets and using data to improve performance.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
A degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
CIH membership, a recognised housing qualification, or willingness to work towards professional accreditation, alongside evidence of continuing professional development.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work are required. The roles are subject to satisfactory DBS clearance and require participation in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
