How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Gas Engineer

    Location: LU / SN / OX
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
    Overtime: Plenty available | Enhanced door-to-door travel rates

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing company with a strong pipeline of work across commercial, council and government-sector sites.

    The role offers a varied workload covering commercial gas servicing, repairs and installation, with Air Conditioning experience highly desirable. This is a Monday-to-Friday position with no call-out rota, alongside plenty of opportunities for overtime.

    The Role

    *

    Commercial gas servicing, repairs and installation works

    *

    Planned and reactive maintenance

    *

    Working across council and government-sector sites

    *

    Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

    *

    No call-out rota

    *

    Plenty of overtime available

    *

    Door-to-door travel paid

    *

    Saturday door-to-door travel paid at 1.5x

    *

    Sunday door-to-door travel paid at 2x

    *

    Work within a growing and expanding company

    *

    BPSS checks required due to the nature of some sites

    The Ideal Candidate

    *

    Experienced Commercial Gas Engineer

    *

    Strong commercial gas servicing and repair experience

    *

    Installation experience desirable

    *

    Air Conditioning experience advantageous

    *

    Professional, reliable and customer-focused

    *

    Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

    *

    Willing to undergo BPSS checks
