How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Salary:  Approx £75,000 - £80,000 per annum plus Bonus & Car Allowance
Location:  Glasgow / West of Scotland
An opportunity to lead, influence and make a real commercial impact.

We're partnering exclusively with an established, ambitious business to appoint an exceptional Head of Commercial Sales at an important stage in its development.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute, results-driven sales leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, identifying opportunities for growth and turning commercial strategy into tangible results.

With an established market presence, a strong product portfolio and significant opportunities for further growth, the business is looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, commercial discipline and inspiring leadership to its sales function.

This isn't a role for someone who simply wants to maintain the status quo. We're looking for an individual who wants to take ownership, challenge thinking and make a genuine difference.

    The Opportunity
As Head of Commercial Sales, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the commercial strategy, with a particular focus on strengthening UK performance and developing opportunities across wider markets.
You'll lead and develop an existing sales team, build strong relationships with key customers and distribution partners, and identify new opportunities to drive sustainable, profitable growth.
Working closely with senior leadership, you'll have the autonomy to influence decisions, introduce new ideas and help shape the future direction of the business.

    Key responsibilities will include:

Leading, coaching and developing a sales team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
Developing and executing sales strategies to accelerate growth across existing and emerging markets.
Taking ownership of commercial performance, including revenue, forecasting, pricing and profitability.
Building and strengthening relationships with key accounts, distributors, wholesalers and strategic partners.
Identifying new routes to market, commercial opportunities and opportunities to increase market share.
Working cross-functionally to ensure commercial plans translate into effective market activity.
Providing clear commercial insight, direction and recommendations to the senior leadership team.About You
We're looking for a confident, credible and commercially sharp leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
You'll understand what it takes to deliver results in a competitive market, but just as importantly, you'll know how to bring people with you.
    Ideally, you'll bring:

A proven track record in a senior sales or commercial leadership role within a branded, consumer-facing business.
Experience across FMCG, food, beverage, premium consumer products or a similarly competitive commercial environment.
Strong exposure to UK retail, grocery, wholesale, on-trade, off-trade or international distribution channels.
Demonstrable success in driving sales growth, improving commercial performance and developing customer relationships.
The ability to lead, mentor and inspire teams, bringing structure, direction and commercial confidence.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, with an understanding of pricing, margin management and forecasting.
An entrepreneurial mindset, resilience and the confidence to challenge established thinking.International market experience would be advantageous, but we're equally interested in individuals who have built exceptional careers driving growth within the UK.

Above all, we're looking for someone with energy, ambition, sound commercial judgement and the ability to turn opportunity into results.

    Why Consider This Opportunity?
This is a chance to make your mark in a business where your contribution will be visible, valued and genuinely influential.
    You'll enjoy:

Real ownership and autonomy – the opportunity to shape commercial priorities and influence the sales strategy.
A genuine leadership challenge – the chance to develop people, strengthen capability and build a high-performing team.
Significant growth potential – opportunities to expand market presence, develop customer relationships and unlock new revenue streams.
Direct access to senior decision-makers – the ability to influence change without unnecessary layers of bureaucracy.
An established business with ambition – combining an existing market presence with the opportunity to introduce fresh ideas and drive the next stage of growth. If you're an ambitious sales leader looking for a role where you can have real influence, build something meaningful and see the impact of your decisions, we'd love to hear from you.
