How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Warehouse Operative

    Job Overview

    An established organisation is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join its busy warehouse and logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to take responsibility for day-to-day warehouse operations, supporting the Warehouse Manager and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, safely and on time.

    The successful Warehouse Operative will play an important role across goods in, goods out, stock control, picking, packing, deliveries, collections and inventory management. The position would suit a methodical, organised individual with strong attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a capable Warehouse Operative looking to develop their experience within an established warehouse and logistics operation.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of warehouse operations.

    Receive incoming deliveries and ensure all Goods In activities are completed efficiently and accurately.

    Check deliveries against relevant documentation and process all goods-in paperwork correctly.

    Pick, prepare and organise equipment, stock, consumables and other requested items for internal and external requirements.

    Ensure daily picking requests are completed accurately and within required deadlines.

    Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all stock is stored safely and in the correct location.

    Update warehouse management systems with accurate stock and location information.

    Process customer and internal returns correctly and liaise with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.

    Investigate missing items, stock discrepancies and picking queries, reporting issues where required.

    Coordinate deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are prepared and processed correctly and on time.

    Support stock control activities, including inventory checks, rolling stock counts and annual stocktakes.

    Assist with equipment identification, photography and coordination of stock-related requests.

    Liaise with other departments to ensure warehouse deadlines and operational requirements are met.

    Follow all warehouse procedures, policies and Health & Safety requirements.

    Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping, ensuring the working environment remains clean, organised and safe.

    Work effectively both independently and as part of a wider warehouse and logistics team.

    Follow modern warehousing practices and maintain accurate inventory controls.

    Skills & Experience

    Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar warehouse, logistics or stock control role.

    Good knowledge of warehouse procedures, including Goods In, Goods Out, picking, stock control and returns.

    Experience using warehouse management or stock control systems.

    Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

    Good organisational and time-management skills.

    Ability to accurately handle stock, paperwork and inventory records.

    Experience carrying out stock checks and inventory control.

    Good communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with different departments.

    Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.

    Strong understanding of warehouse Health & Safety procedures.

    Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work.

    Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is desirable.

    Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

    Working Hours: Rotational shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm
