You’ll work closely with HR, Finance and an external payroll provider, ensuring payroll is accurate, timely and fully compliant. The role is office based during probation then hybrid 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full monthly payroll cycle, including data preparation, validation, submission and reconciliation.
Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries across the business.
Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and year‑end requirements.
Oversee P11Ds, PAYE Settlement Agreements and support IR35 administration.
Administer workplace pensions, auto‑enrolment and DC scheme submissions.
Manage benefits including private medical insurance and company car allocations.
Produce payroll, overtime and labour cost reporting for HR, Finance and senior leaders.
Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate payroll data.
Coordinate overseas tax reporting and modified payroll arrangements where required.
What You’ll Bring
Strong experience in payroll processing and UK payroll legislation.
Confident managing payroll queries and working with external providers.
Experience with pensions administration and auto‑enrolment.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and confidentiality.
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong stakeholder skills.
Excel skills and comfort analysing payroll data
