Position 1 Recruitment is working with a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Norwich to recruit an experienced Project Manager. Due to an increasing order book, this is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a dedicated Projects team and take ownership of customer projects from initial order through to successful completion.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will act as the key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage projects from tender/order through to successful completion.
*
Develop and maintain project programmes, monitoring milestones, budgets, risks and progress.
*
Manage customer relationships and lead internal and customer project meetings.
*
Plan resources and coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and other departments.
*
Monitor project performance and provide clear updates to customers and management.
*
Identify and resolve contractual, commercial and delivery issues.
*
Ensure projects meet Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
*
Drive continuous improvement across project processes and delivery.
About You
The successful Project Manager will have:
*
HND or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
*
Proven experience working as a Project Manager, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
*
Strong understanding of project planning, delivery, budgets and commercial management.
*
Experience or knowledge of the Oil & Gas and Defence sectors.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
*
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
*
A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
*
Strong attention to detail and the ability to see projects through to completion.
Desirable:
*
PRINCE2 or similar Project Management qualification.
*
Knowledge of Rotating Electrical Machines.
*
Experience within the Oil & Gas or Defence sectors.
*
A proven track record of improving project processes and delivery.
