How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Looking for a part-time role that combines HR, payroll coordination and executive support? Join a forward-thinking, family-run manufacturing and supply business in Skipton as its HR & Executive Assistant. You will keep employee administration organised and accurate, work with specialist external providers and help the directors manage their day-to-day commitments, with flexible working hours.

Created following a reorganisation of responsibilities, this varied role reports directly to the directors. You will coordinate HR administration throughout the employee life cycle, liaise with the appointed HR consultancy and outsourced payroll provider, and coordinate the implementation of a new payroll system. Alongside these responsibilities, you will provide executive and business administration support, with specialist external support available.

    What you will do

Coordinate day-to-day HR administration across the full employee life cycle
Liaise directly with the outsourced HR and payroll providers
Coordinate the implementation of a new payroll system
Maintain employee records, the company handbook and associated HR documentation
Administer the company pension scheme and employee benefit
Manage company credit card expenses administration
Schedule executive meetings, prepare documentation and distribute accurate minutes
Provide dependable administrative support to the Directors
Coordinate statutory submissions, including annual Companies House Confirmation Statements and Office for National Statistics surveys
Ensure processes comply with company policies and relevant statutory requirements

    What you will bring

Previous experience in HR administration and payroll coordination
A practical understanding of the employee life cycle and the importance of confidential, accurate record keeping
Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and confidence checking payroll and employee data
Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
Experience of implementing a new system would be an advantage, but is not essential
Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR, payroll or business administration systems

This role will suit someone who enjoys balancing people-focused administration with detailed coordination and executive support. You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the manufacturing business, managing a varied workload and keeping important information and deadlines on track.

You may have gained your experience as an HR administrator, HR officer, HR and payroll officer, executive assistant, company secretary or office manager. Relevant HR administration and payroll coordination experience is key. Whether you are returning to the workplace or looking for a role that fits around other commitments, this opportunity offers variety and flexible part-time hours.

    What we offer

    Flexible part-time working hours
27.5 hours per week, with flexible working between 8:30 and 17:00, including part-day working around school and childcare commitments
    £35,000-£40,000 full-time equivalent salary
25 days holiday plus bank holidays (FTE)
    Free on-site parking
The opportunity to join a forward-thinking, family-run manufacturing business
    Rewards & recognition for employees
