How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Writer

Kingswinford, West Midlands | Hybrid Working Available

    £30,000 - £40,000 DOE

Are you an engineer, technically-minded professional or experienced Technical Writer who enjoys turning complex information into clear, user-friendly content?

We're looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing R&D team, playing a key role in how our products are documented, understood and supported across global markets. This is an exciting opportunity to work with innovative products that genuinely improve people's lives, while collaborating with engineering and product teams across an international business.

This role offers a genuine split between creating documentation for new product developments and updating existing technical documentation as products evolve. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with engineers throughout the product lifecycle, helping shape how information is communicated to customers, installers and internal teams.

    About the Role

As Technical Writer, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and tailored to different audiences.

Working alongside R&D, Engineering and Product Development teams, you'll translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation that supports both end users and technical professionals.

    Key responsibilities include:

    ·       Writing, editing and maintaining technical documentation for new and existing products

    ·       Producing user guides, installation manuals, FAQs, release notes and training materials

    ·       Working closely with engineers and product teams to gather technical information

    ·       Ensuring documentation remains accurate and up to date as products and features evolve

    ·       Managing document version control and publication processes

    ·       Creating diagrams, screenshots and supporting visual content where required

    ·       Reviewing documentation with stakeholders and incorporating feedback

    ·       Leveraging AI tools to improve documentation quality and efficiency

    About You

We're open to candidates with previous Technical Writing experience, as well as engineers looking to move into a documentation-focused role.

    You'll ideally have:

    ·       Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail

    ·       The ability to present complex technical information in a simple, logical format

    ·       Strong editing and proofreading skills

    ·       Experience working with technical products, systems or engineering environments

    ·       Familiarity with documentation and content management tools

    ·       Understanding of software development or product development lifecycles

    ·       Experience managing multiple projects and engaging with a variety of stakeholders

    ·       Confidence using AI tools within your day-to-day work

An Engineering degree would be advantageous, although practical engineering experience will be equally valued.

    Why Join Us?

    ·       Join a growing global business with ambitious plans for the future

    ·       Work on innovative products that have a positive impact on customers' lives

    ·       Collaborate with engineering and product teams across multiple international locations

    ·       Hybrid working with flexibility around working from home

    ·       Genuine opportunities for career progression and international collaboration

    ·       Be part of a supportive and highly skilled R&D environment where your work will have visible impact

Our vision is to empower people with mobility for life, and we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to quality, collaboration, innovation and delivering the very best outcomes for customers.

If you're passionate about clear communication, enjoy understanding how things work, and want to develop your career within a growing international organisation, we'd love to hear from you
