How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Mechanical Assembly Manager to join a world-class organisation that is dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable and emissions reducing products to their impressive customer base.

    The employer is based in West Yorkshire, the successful Mechanical Assembly Manager will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Oldham, Pontefract, Barnsley and Castleford.

    Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembly Manager will include:

    Leading, developing and motivating 2 shifts (around 40 people in total) of Supervisors/Team Leaders and Assemblers
    Monitoring the quality, cost, delivery and safety parameters in the specific area
    Maintaining regular contact & communication with various internal departments to ensure production targets are continuously achieved; these departments include Planning, Stores, Warehouse, Distribution and Maintenance
    Leading departmental and people projects such as Annual Merit Reviews, Non-Conformance/Compliance Quality Investigations and Quality and Safety Audits with a strategic outlook to deliver business objectives
    Deliver quarterly briefs & presentations to the senior management team
    Working Hours of the Mechanical Assembly Manager:
    40 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift. However, flexibility is required from the successful candidate as this position will cover 3 different shifts.

    In return, the Mechanical Assembly Manager will receive:

    Base Salary: Up to £55,000.00 depending on experience
    Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days (incl. Bank Holidays) - rising to 38 days with continued service
    Discretionary Annual Bonus
    Up to 14% combined pension contributions
