How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Company

Our client is a successful UK-headquartered manufacturing group with an established international presence and an ambitious programme of continued growth. Having developed a strong position within its chosen markets, the business is focused on expanding its reach, strengthening its international sales operations and developing new routes to market. Supported by continued investment in its people, products and manufacturing capabilities, the group is now looking to appoint a Group Commercial Sales Director to lead its global sales activities, enhance commercial performance and capitalise on significant opportunities across both established and emerging markets.

    The Role

The Group Commercial Sales Director will lead the group's sales strategy across multiple international markets, ensuring the business has the structure, focus and capability to deliver sustainable revenue growth. This is a senior leadership appointment with responsibility for driving commercial performance, strengthening customer relationships, improving sales discipline and ensuring greater consistency across territories. Key areas of focus will include sales leadership, commercial planning, pipeline management, forecasting, customer development and performance improvement across the group. The successful candidate will bring clarity, pace and accountability to the sales function, while also supporting the business in developing its approach to new markets, channels and customer opportunities. This is a highly visible role suited to a commercially minded leader who can operate strategically, while remaining close enough to the detail to influence performance and deliver tangible results.

    The Person

The successful candidate will be an accomplished sales or commercial leader with a strong track record of driving growth and improving performance across international markets. You will have experience leading and developing multi-territory sales teams, bringing the commercial judgement, leadership capability and strategic focus needed to deliver results in a complex business environment. Commercially astute and data-driven, you will be confident in setting direction, strengthening sales processes and translating growth objectives into measurable outcomes. You will bring the strategic vision, leadership capability and executive presence to influence at board level, build strong relationships and lead international teams in delivering sustainable commercial growth.
