How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HR Advisor (12 Month FTC)

    Based in Stockport – occasional regional travel £34,000–£36,000 DOE Hybrid working • Start ASAP

    If you’re an HR Advisor who enjoys variety, autonomy and being close to the day‑to‑day heartbeat of an organisation, this 12‑month fixed‑term role could be a great next step. You’ll be joining a values‑led social care organisation with multiple sites across the North West, and you’ll play a key part in strengthening people practices during a period of positive growth.

    Working as part of a friendly and collaborative People team, you’ll partner with managers across the region, offering practical HR support, coaching and guidance. No two days look the same — and you’ll have the chance to get involved in both operational and project‑based work.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    This is a genuinely broad generalist role, touching every part of the employee lifecycle. Your work will include:

    * Acting as a trusted advisor to managers, offering clear guidance on policies, procedures and best practice

    * Owning and progressing a varied ER caseload, ensuring matters are handled fairly and consistently

    * Supporting recruitment activity and ensuring new starters have a smooth onboarding experience

    * Contributing to engagement initiatives and wider People projects alongside senior HR colleagues

    * Reviewing and refreshing policies to keep them relevant and compliant

    * Delivering HR training sessions to managers and teams

    * Producing meaningful people data and MI to support decision‑making and monthly manager reviews

    * Helping embed and enhance HR systems, ensuring teams are confident and reporting tools are used effectively

    What You’ll Bring

    We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and able to build strong relationships across different teams. Ideally, you’ll have:

    * Experience in a People/HR Advisor role

    * CIPD Level 3 (essential), ideally working towards Level 5

    * Solid ER experience, managing cases independently from start to finish

    * A good understanding of employment law and HR best practice

    * Experience across recruitment, onboarding and retention

    * Strong IT capability, including HR systems and data reporting

    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support managers

    * Resilience, good judgement and the ability to work calmly under pressure

    * Experience in social care, healthcare or another regulated environment (helpful but not essential)

    Why Apply?

    You’ll be joining an organisation that genuinely values its people and offers a supportive, flexible working culture. Benefits include:

    * Hybrid and flexible working

    * 25 days holiday + bank holidays

    * Enhanced pension and sick pay

    * Life assurance

    * Healthcare cash plan

    * Wellbeing support

    * A positive, purpose‑driven working environment
