How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

My client is a commercial real estate investment and asset management business covering acquisition, strategy, asset management and sale, with an in-house contracting arm that delivers the construction side of their projects.
They need a QA Manager on a well-advanced high-rise residential/student accommodation scheme in Hanger Lane. What you'll do
    * Lead the site-based QA and evidence close-out process
    * Review existing QA records, identify evidence gaps and drive them through to closure
    * Inspect completed works and verify them against drawings and specifications, prioritising structural and fire-safety-critical elements
    * Manage opening-up and retrospective testing where required
    * Coordinate with structural, fire and MEP designers to resolve discrepancies
    * Manage QA records, photographs, test certificates and product information in Viewpoint, keeping a robust, auditable record
    * Support final as-built information and Gateway 3 evidence
    You'll bring
    Essential
    * Proven QA / Quality Manager experience on major construction projects for main contractors
    * Experience on HRBs, high-rise residential or student accommodation
    * Strong knowledge of structural steel, concrete, passive fire and MEP
    * Experience with retrospective QA and evidence recovery
    * Confidence interrogating completed works on site
    Desirable
    * Gateway 2 / Gateway 3 experience
