How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Package Manager - Electrical Engineering

    Nuclear Site near Oxford | Up to £60.75/hr Umbrella PAYE | 12-Month Contract | Hybrid
    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Package Manager - Electrical Engineering to support a major decommissioning programme at a nuclear site near Oxford.

    The Role

    £60.75/hr Umbrella PAYE
    12-month contract
    Start ASAP
    4 days on site / 1 day remote
    Must be eligible for security clearance
    Electrically biased engineering position
    Lead electrical decommissioning activities through pre-construction and construction phases
    Develop decommissioning plans, work packages, risk assessments and technical documentation
    Coordinate with project, construction, safety and specialist contractor teams
    Support surveys, isolations, removal and disposal of electrical systems and equipment
    Manage technical interfaces and provide engineering guidance throughout delivery

    Essential Experience

    Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
    Strong electrical engineering background
    Significant experience in decommissioning and/or demolition - essential
    Strong CDM experience, ideally with a relevant CDM qualification
    Chartered Engineer or actively working towards Chartership
    Experience delivering complex engineering projects in highly regulated environments
    Strong knowledge of electrical standards, risk management and safe systems of work

    Desirable

    Nuclear sector experience
    Experience working on nuclear or other highly regulated sites
    Experience with LV/HV systems, LOTO and electrical hazard mitigation
    Experience producing electrical designs, work packages, RAMS and technical documentation
    Previous experience supervising technical teams and managing project interfaces
