Role - SEN Classroom Support
Pay - £93-£105 (based on your level of experience)

Academics are seeking a proactive and dedicated SEN Classroom Support worker to join a SEND school in Warrington, supporting children with a range of additional needs including ASD. The role includes general classroom support, with the possibility of working 1:1 with individual children. The Role:
Classroom Support - Supporting the teacher and other staff members whilst delivering tailored education to children in 1:1 and small-group settings.
Behaviour Management - Assisting students by offering support and encouraging positive behaviour. Confidence sing de-escalation strategies will also be required.
Positive Relationships - Creating a safe environment for students to learn and develop and building positive, trusting relationships with students.
Safeguarding - Prioritising the safety of students by following safeguarding protocols and reporting to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL).
About You:
Experience - Experience working with children, particularly those with Autism and other types of neurodiversity. A background in support/care/residential work is also advantageous, as well as having experience with challenging behaviour.
Personality - A calm and approachable demeanour is something we are looking for, whilst having a genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
Qualifications - To be a SEN Classroom Support worker, having a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous. Team Teach and other SEND qualifications will make your application stand out.
