How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a Psychology graduate considering a future career in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy or Teaching?

Would you like to gain practical experience working with children and young people before taking your next career step?

We are recruiting Psychology Graduates to join a specialist school in the Royston/Meldreth area, supporting students aged 6-19 with a range of additional needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate who wants to build relevant experience while working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.

    What will you be doing?
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students throughout their school day. Your responsibilities will include:

    Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
Helping students access learning and participate in activities.
    Supporting communication and social development.
    Promoting emotional wellbeing and independence.
Creating a positive, safe and nurturing environment.
Supporting students with personal care when required.
Working closely with teaching and specialist support staff.
    Who are we looking for?
You don't necessarily need previous SEN experience. We're looking for graduates who demonstrate:

A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
An interest in psychology, education, therapy or mental health.
    Patience, empathy and resilience.
    Excellent communication skills.
A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential requirement: GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent.

    Why apply?
This role offers much more than classroom experience. You will receive:

    Fully funded training.
    Recognised qualifications.
Hands-on experience within a specialist educational environment.
The opportunity to work alongside teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals.
    Ongoing professional development.
    Potential permanent employment.
    Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
    Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Working pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only

Right to Work: Applicants must have unrestricted right to work in the UK and reside in the UK full-time. Unfortunately, visa sponsorship is not available.
