How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management strategies and appropriate de-escalation techniques.
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced trauma, attachment difficulties or disrupted education.
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, helping them develop coping strategies and positive behaviours.
Assisting teachers with delivering engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence, resilience and positive social skills.
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
Supporting pupils during classroom activities, transitions, breaktimes and other aspects of the school day.
Following safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare and wellbeing of all pupils.
    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly SEMH, ADHD, autism or behavioural difficulties.
Strong behaviour management skills and confidence supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour.
A calm, patient and resilient approach when responding to difficult situations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
An understanding of trauma-informed approaches, emotional regulation and de-escalation strategies.
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
Experience in specialist SEND schools, alternative provisions, residential care, youth work or similar settings would be highly desirable.
In Return for the Above, You Can Expect:

A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to support you throughout your placement.
Access to our industry-leading CPD courses and certificates through the My-Progression channel.
