The Role
Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Northampton, NN1
Contract: Long-term supply
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start: Immediate start available
Potential: Temp-to-perm for the right candidate
The SEN Communication and Interaction Unit has capacity for 10 pupils and currently supports 7 children across EYFS and Key Stage 1, with a range of individual needs.
You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering engaging and differentiated learning experiences tailored to each child's individual needs, abilities and development.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly communication and interaction needs
Has experience within EYFS and/or Key Stage 1
Is confident adapting lessons and activities to meet individual needs
Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils
Is patient, nurturing and understanding
Has strong behaviour and classroom management skills
Works well as part of a wider team
Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting every child to succeed
Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or is willing to obtain one
