How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary
    Full-Time | Primary School Opportunities | Aspire People

    Aspire People are recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEND across primary school settings.

    This role is specifically aimed at candidates who hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or relevant SEND qualification and have practical experience working with children in a UK school environment.

    Requirements:

    * MUST hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or relevant SEND qualification
    * MUST have previous UK school-based experience
    * Experience supporting pupils with SEND is essential
    * Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion
    * Confident working with children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
    * Patient, calm and nurturing approach
    * Reliable and professional

    The Role:

    * Providing 1:1 and small-group SEND support
    * Supporting pupils to access classroom learning
    * Assisting with differentiated activities and interventions
    * Supporting pupils with communication, learning and behavioural needs
    * Encouraging independence and confidence
    * Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
    * Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs
    * Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback

    The Ideal Candidate:

    * Level 2 qualified
    * Recent UK school experience
    * Previous SEND experience within a primary setting
    * Good behaviour management and communication skills
    * Able to build strong relationships with pupils
    * Flexible and adaptable to individual pupil needs
