How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Senior Quantity Surveyor - Super-Prime Residential | Central London

    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Location: Central London
    Sector: Super-Prime Residential
    Employment: Permanent

    The Opportunity

    We are representing a highly regarded specialist contractor operating within the super-prime residential sector in Central London, who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

    This is an opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious and high-value residential developments, where quality, attention to detail and commercial expertise are paramount.

    We are specifically looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record within super-prime residential construction. Experience of high-end residential projects is essential — this is not a general construction QS position.

    The Role

    As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for major super-prime residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    * Managing the commercial and contractual performance of high-value residential projects.

    * Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.

    * Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.

    * Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages and accounts.

    * Managing variations, valuations, payment applications and final accounts.

    * Monitoring project costs, cash flow and commercial performance.

    * Producing accurate financial reporting and forecasts for senior management.

    * Managing commercial risk and identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.

    * Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

    * Supporting procurement and value engineering while maintaining the required quality and specification.

    * Maintaining strong commercial relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

    * Taking ownership of commercial issues and providing clear, commercially sound advice.

    About You

    You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in super-prime or ultra-high-end residential construction in Central London.

    You must have demonstrable experience working on projects where budgets, specifications, finishes and client expectations are exceptionally high.

    We are particularly interested in individuals with experience across:

    * Super-prime residential developments

    * High-end private residences

    * Luxury apartments and penthouses

    * Listed and period properties

    * High-specification refurbishments

    * Complex fit-out and refurbishment projects

    * High-value bespoke residential schemes

    You will need to demonstrate:

    * Proven super-prime residential experience – essential

    * Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

    * Excellent subcontract procurement and package management skills

    * Experience managing variations, valuations and final accounts

    * Strong understanding of construction costs and commercial risk

    * Excellent attention to detail

    * Strong communication and negotiation skills

    * The confidence to deal directly with high-net-worth clients, consultants and senior project stakeholders

    * A commercially astute and proactive approach

    Relevant construction or surveying qualifications are desirable, although sector experience, commercial capability and project track record are the key requirements.

    Why Consider the Role?

    This is a genuine opportunity to join an established business working at the very top end of the Central London residential market.

    You will be exposed to prestigious projects, demanding clients and some of the highest standards of residential construction in the industry.

    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take significant commercial ownership of projects and play an important role within a highly experienced team.

    If you are an experienced Senior QS with genuine super-prime residential experience in Central London and are looking for your next opportunity, we would like to hear from you.
