Monday–Friday 07:00–16:00 (+1hr flex if needed) & Alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a well-established and growing UK business at its Dewsbury branch.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, responsible for ensuring the Dewsbury warehouse operates efficiently, accurately and safely. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will oversee goods-in, stock locations, picking and dispatch, deliveries and collections, stock control and the day-to-day activities of the warehouse and drivers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and supporting the warehouse team and apprentice.
* Receiving incoming items and checking deliveries against purchase orders.
* Picking and preparing customer and interbranch orders for dispatch.
* Ensuring goods are correctly packaged, labelled and safely transported.
* Maintaining accurate stock records and carrying out regular stock counts.
* Investigating discrepancies, damaged goods and invoice queries.
* Coordinating deliveries, collections and associated paperwork.
* Ensuring the warehouse, external areas and vehicles are clean, secure and well maintained.
* Overseeing forklift safety and reporting maintenance requirements.
* Supporting the Branch Manager with annual stocktakes and general branch operations.
* Undertaking deliveries when required to support the branch.
We're looking for someone with:
* Proven warehouse supervisory or management experience.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Good numeracy, literacy and organisational skills.
* A self-motivated, practical and reliable approach.
* The ability to lead a team while remaining happy to be hands-on.
* Experience using warehouse management / bespoke stock control systems.
* A good understanding of health & safety.
* A counterbalance forklift licence or prior experience – a refresher can be provided.
The company is a major supplier of OEM and aftermarket parts, supporting fleets, workshops and commercial vehicle operators across the UK. With multiple branches, a central distribution centre, thousands of product lines and individual stock items, the business has continued to invest and grow, recently expanding its branch network and logistics operation. Knowledge of truck, trailer or commercial vehicle parts would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Salary: £30,000 + bonus
Hours: 07:00–16:00 Monday–Friday, plus alternate Saturdays 08:00–12:00
