Tradewind Recruitment is seeking reliable, hardworking and conscientious Supply School Cleaners to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools throughout Derby and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for cleaners who are looking for flexible work and enjoy working in a school environment.
Due to the nature of working on a supply basis, you may be required to work across a variety of school settings throughout Derby and the local area. Working hours will vary depending on the individual school's requirements, with both short-term and longer-term assignments available.
The Role
As a Supply School Cleaner, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities may include:
Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas.
Cleaning and maintaining toilets and washroom facilities.
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
Cleaning surfaces and frequently touched areas.
Ensuring cleaning standards are consistently maintained.
Following school health and safety and cleaning procedures.
Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
Reporting any maintenance, damage or health and safety concerns to the appropriate member of staff.

We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential.
Experience working in a school, office, care home, hotel or other professional environment is advantageous.
A reliable, hardworking and conscientious approach.
Good attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good time-management and organisational skills.
An understanding of health and safety procedures.
The ability to follow cleaning instructions and use cleaning equipment safely.
A flexible approach to working across different school settings.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
