How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    P6 Planner – Rail Project - London (Hybrid)

    We are currently recruiting for a P6 Planner to join a planning and project controls team working on a major digital rail project in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner with minimum of 2–3 years of planning and project controls experience who is looking to develop their career within the rail and infrastructure sector.

    The Role

    You will support the planning and project controls activities across the project, helping to ensure programmes are effectively developed, monitored and maintained.

    The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has a good understanding of planning principles and is keen to continue developing their technical and project controls skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop, maintain and update project programmes

    * Support the planning team with programme updates, progress reporting and analysis

    * Assist with monitoring project progress against agreed programmes and milestones

    * Support the identification of programme risks, issues and potential delays

    * Work closely with project managers, engineers and other project controls disciplines

    * Assist with programme reporting and the preparation of planning information

    * Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project planning processes

    * Work collaboratively within a wider project team and build strong working relationships

    About You

    * 2–3 years' experience in planning and/or project controls

    * An interest in developing a career within rail, infrastructure or major projects

    * Good analytical and organisational skills

    * The ability to work effectively as part of a team

    * A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop

    * Good communication skills and the confidence to work with different project stakeholders

    Previous rail or major infrastructure experience would be advantageous, but training and development will be available for the right candidate.
