How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The school is seeking a confident and knowledgeable SENCO who can take responsibility for coordinating SEND provision across the school, supporting pupils, staff and families to ensure that all children receive the support they need to thrive.

    The Role
As SENCO, you will play a key role in leading and developing inclusive practice across the school. Working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Head/Inclusion Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day coordination of SEND provision, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are identified, supported and able to make good progress.

    Your responsibilities will include:
    • Coordinating SEND provision and supporting the implementation of the school's SEND policy.
    • Managing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), including applications, reviews and associated documentation.
    • Working closely with parents and carers to ensure they are fully involved in planning and reviewing their child's support.
    • Liaising with external professionals, including Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and other specialist services.
    • Maintaining accurate SEND records, monitoring pupil progress and identifying areas for additional support.
    • Providing advice, guidance and practical support to teachers and support staff.
    • Working alongside class teachers to develop and review individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
    • Supporting staff development through training and sharing effective inclusive teaching strategies.

The school is looking for a qualified SENCO with experience working in a primary school setting, strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies.

    The School
This welcoming primary school in Lambeth is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.
You will be joining a supportive leadership team and working alongside dedicated teaching and support staff who are committed to meeting the individual needs of their pupils.
This is a full-time position, working five days per week, offered on an ongoing contract with no fixed end date.

If you are an experienced SENCO looking for your next opportunity in a supportive London primary school, we would love to hear from you.
