How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Commercial Finance Manager

Location: Seaham, County Durham | Hybrid
    Type: Permanent

Select Talent Group is Natara Global’s embedded talent partner, supporting recruitment across its UK and US operations.

We are looking to appoint a commercially astute Commercial Finance Manager to join Natara’s international finance team. This is a high-impact business-partnering role, supporting profitable growth through pricing, customer and product profitability, forecasting and commercial performance insight.

Natara Global is a leading independent manufacturer of speciality aroma chemicals and natural extracts for the flavour and fragrance industry. With more than 90 years of experience, it supplies over 1,000 ingredients to customers globally through operations in the UK, Americas and Asia.

    The role

Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations and senior finance stakeholders, you will turn commercial activity into clear financial insight and help shape decisions across the UK, EMEA, Americas and Greater Asia.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Leading financial evaluation and approval of customer pricing proposals, renewals, tenders and RFQs.

    * Developing pricing models and tools that support margin discipline and effective commercial decision-making.

    * Analysing customer, product and product-family profitability, identifying opportunities to improve margin and recover costs.

    * Partnering with Regional Vice Presidents and Key Account Managers on annual budgets, forecasts and commercial plans.

    * Leading the financial element of S&OP, converting demand and volume forecasts into revenue, margin and profitability projections.

    * Analysing Salesforce pipeline activity, risks and opportunities to produce an accurate commercial outlook.

    * Producing monthly sales, margin and profitability reporting for the Executive Leadership Team and Board.

    * Delivering clear variance analysis, performance commentary and practical recommendations.

    * Acting as a trusted finance business partner, constructively challenging assumptions and supporting profitable growth.

    What we’re looking for

    * ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.

    * Strong commercial finance and business-partnering experience.

    * Proven experience with pricing, tenders/RFQs, margin analysis and customer profitability.

    * Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; BI/reporting tools experience would be beneficial.

    * Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance-analysis capability.

    * Confidence communicating complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

    * Credibility to influence senior leaders across an international, multi-functional business.

    * International or multi-site manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to take a central role in the commercial development of a growing international manufacturing business, with genuine exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
