How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Role: Construction Delivery Manager
    Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset

Duration: Initial CED 27/12/2026 (Rolling 12month contract thereafter)

    Day Rate: £410 p/d PAYE + 36 days annual leave // £550 p/d Umbrella

Few construction projects in the UK compare to the scale, complexity, and long-term legacy of Hinkley Point C.

As the UK's flagship nuclear new-build, HPC is reshaping what "best practice" looks like in large-scale infrastructure delivery. We are now seeking an experienced Construction Delivery Manager (Civils) to take ownership of a defined area of works and play a key role in safely driving construction forward on site.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, suited to professionals who are comfortable operating in demanding, safety-critical environments and coordinating multiple contractors, interfaces, and stakeholders.

    Job Opportunity

As Construction Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day site delivery and supervision of civil construction activities within your allocated section of works.

Working closely with the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, logistics teams, project controls, H&S, and Tier 1 contractors, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, and regulatory expectations.

You will act as the key on-site point of coordination-removing obstacles, managing interfaces, and keeping delivery moving in a complex, high-pressure environment with immovable milestones.

    Principal Accountabilities

Support Tier 1 and service contract partners in the safe and efficient delivery of civil works packages
Oversee on-site activities, sequencing, and short-term planning to maintain programme momentum
Identify safety, quality, or delivery risks and recommend pragmatic temporary measures to avoid disruption
Monitor progress on site and produce clear, concise daily and escalation reports
Coordinate closely with logistics, H&S, commercial, and project controls teams to ensure aligned delivery
Attend and contribute to PLOD / PLOW meetings, ensuring actions and outputs are captured and driven
Carry out safety and assurance inspections in line with project KPIs and HSPI requirements
Maintain strong two-way communication with senior site leadership
Work shifts aligned to Tier 1 contractor patterns where required

    Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

This role will suit experienced construction delivery professionals from high-hazard or highly regulated environments, including nuclear, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, chemicals, water, or major infrastructure.

    Essential experience & attributes:

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, resource planning, and recovery strategies
Solid working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site delivery obligations
Proven experience delivering complex construction works on live sites
Ability to produce clear, meaningful reports for senior stakeholders
Confident communicator who builds trust with contractors and delivery teams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple interfaces
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
    SMSTS or IOSH certified
Calm under pressure, decisive, and accountable for outcomesDesirable:

Experience in high-security or safety-critical environments
Nuclear experience advantageous, but not essential-strong delivery backgrounds from large civils, MEH, or industrial projects are equally valued
