How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Working closely with the HR Director, Finance leadership and IT stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in workforce planning, leadership development, talent management and organisational effectiveness.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    Building strong relationships with leaders across Finance and IT, providing trusted advice, challenge and coaching on all people-related matters.
    Partnering with stakeholders to develop and deliver people plans that support business objectives and future growth.
    Leading talent reviews, succession planning and workforce planning activities, ensuring critical capability is identified and developed.
    Supporting leaders to build high-performing teams through effective performance management, coaching and development initiatives.
    Driving employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives, helping create an environment where people can thrive and perform at their best.
    Supporting organisational change, restructures and transformation projects, ensuring change is implemented effectively and with a positive employee experience.
    Using workforce data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, enabling informed business decisions.
    Managing complex employee relations matters and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice on employee issues.
    Working closely with the wider People team, including Learning & Development, HR Services and Centres of Excellence, to deliver consistent and impactful people solutions.
    Contributing to the ongoing development of the People function, helping to embed new ways of working and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Profile

    A successful HR Business Partner should have:

    An experienced HR Business Partner with a strong commercial mindset.
    Proven ability to influence and coach senior stakeholders.
    Strong background in talent, leadership development and organisational change.
    Confident managing complex employee relations matters.
    Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where no two days are the same.
    CIPD qualified (or working towards) is desirable.
    Must be able to commute to Manchester 3 days per weekJob Offer

    Salary between £60,000 and £70,000 per annum, dependent on the level of experience.
