How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Engineering Maintenance Manager

    South Warwickshire

    £65,000 to £70,000

We are recruiting an Engineering Maintenance Manager for an established manufacturing business in South Warwickshire.

This role will suit an experienced maintenance leader who enjoys developing people as much as improving equipment performance. You will lead an established team, strengthen maintenance planning and reliability, and work closely with production to make improvements that last. You will be visible on the factory floor and willing to get involved with technical issues when needed.

    The role

    * Lead, coach and develop maintenance team leaders and engineers, identifying skills gaps and supporting their development.

    * Improve preventative maintenance, scheduling and the response to equipment breakdowns.

    * Identify recurring faults and use maintenance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

    * Work with production colleagues to agree priorities and support safe, efficient operations.

    * Manage maintenance expenditure and make effective use of contractors and resources.

    * Introduce better ways of working through clear communication and practical support for the team.

    About you

    * You have substantial experience leading maintenance or engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.

    * You can demonstrate improvements you have made to equipment reliability, maintenance performance or team capability.

    * You have a strong technical background and are comfortable supporting engineers on the factory floor when required.

    * You can build trust with an established team and lead change at a pace that brings people with you.

    * You are confident using a computerised maintenance management system and understand planned maintenance and reliability practices.

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with the flexibility expected of a senior site engineering position.
