How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Training Administrator
    Peterborough, Yaxley | £25,000 TO £26,000 | Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm Friday early finish!

Are you the person who keeps everything running smoothly?

    You know the type.

The person who has a spreadsheet for the spreadsheet, somehow remembers everyone's deadlines, can find a missing certificate in seconds and stays calm when five people ask for something at the same time.

If that sounds like you, we want to hear from you.

We're looking for an organised, proactive and customer-focused Training Administrator to join a busy training team in Yaxley.

You'll play a key role in making sure training courses run smoothly from the initial booking right through to assessment, results and certification.

You don't need to have worked in training before. If you're an experienced administrator who enjoys working with people, keeping things organised and making sure nothing falls through the cracks, this could be a great opportunity for you.

    What will you be doing?

Quite a lot - but that's what makes the role interesting!

    Keeping courses organised
Managing bookings, learner enrolments, joining instructions and course information.

    Being the go-to person
Responding to learner and client enquiries by phone and email and making sure people get the information they need.

    Looking after learners
Registering learners with awarding bodies, collecting information and keeping records accurate and up to date.

    Making the arrangements
Organising training rooms, travel and accommodation when required.

    Getting assessments ready
Preparing training and assessment materials, booking exams and supporting the assessment process.

    Getting people certified
Processing attendance and results and tracking certificates and cards to make sure they reach the right people.

    Keeping everything up to date
Maintaining databases, records and filing systems so everyone knows exactly what's happening.

    Supporting trainers
Making sure trainers have the equipment, materials and resources they need to deliver their courses.

    Helping with the numbers
Producing reports and management information and helping to interpret the data.

And, because no two days are exactly the same, there will always be the occasional "can you just..." request thrown into the mix.

    What are we looking for?

We're not expecting you to know everything on day one.

We're looking for someone who is:

Organised - you like things in order and don't enjoy chasing paperwork that should already be there.

Accurate - you spot the small details and understand that getting them right matters.

Great with people - you're confident dealing with learners, clients, trainers and colleagues.

Proactive - you don't need someone standing over you telling you what needs doing.

Calm under pressure - when several things need your attention at once, you know how to prioritise.

Tech confident - you're comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

A problem solver - when something goes wrong, you focus on finding the solution.

Ideally, you'll have at least one year's experience in an administration or similar role.

Experience within training, education or another regulated environment would be an advantage, but it isn't essential.

Most importantly, we're looking for the right attitude, excellent organisation and someone who takes pride in doing a great job.

    What's in it for you?

This isn't a role where you'll be doing exactly the same thing every day.

You'll have a varied position with real responsibility, working alongside trainers, learners and clients and playing an important part in delivering a great training experience.

You'll also have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience within the training sector and build a career in a busy and growing environment.

    And let's be honest...

    Training doesn't run itself.

Someone needs to make sure the right people are in the right place, with the right paperwork, equipment, information and certificates.

    That someone could be you.
