How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Tender Manager - Highly Regulated

Salary to £80k (doe) plus car allowance

Are you an experienced Tender or Bid Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely influence strategy, shape major bids and help secure high-value business?

We're looking for an experienced Tender Manager to take the lead on the internal bid process, from initial tender receipt through to submission, client feedback and lessons learned. This is a key role within the Sales function, working closely with teams across the business, subsidiaries and the wider supply chain to develop compelling, high-quality bids.

    The Role

You'll take ownership of the bid process, developing the overall strategy, building the story and bringing together the right people and expertise to deliver winning submissions.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Leading Pre-Qualification and Bid Management activities and ensuring high-quality submissions.

Developing bid programmes, schedules and clear requirements for each tender.

Creating and implementing effective bid collaboration models across internal teams and external partners.

Identifying, briefing and coordinating contributors, SMEs, subsidiaries and supply-chain partners.

Overseeing the bid writing process and ensuring responses are strategically aligned to maximise scoring.

Leading win strategy sessions, storyboarding, answer planning and bid reviews.

Facilitating client interview and presentation rehearsals.

Supporting partnering and business development discussions.

Ensuring bids progress through the required governance processes.

Maintaining accurate CRM information and supporting the wider business development process.

Leading lessons-learned activities and helping drive continuous improvement.

Supporting and developing more junior colleagues and helping build a strong bid-winning culture.

You'll need to be comfortable operating autonomously, solving problems creatively and bringing people together around a clear strategy.

    What We're Looking For

We're looking for a proven bid professional who combines strong project management and commercial awareness with excellent stakeholder management skills.

    Essential:

Strong track record in Bid / Tender Project Management.

    Commercial understanding and experience.

10+ years' experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry.

    Degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.

Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Strategic understanding and the ability to see the bigger business picture.

    Understanding of business development processes.

    Desirable:

    Technical or engineering background.

Experience of the nuclear decommissioning lifecycle.

    Knowledge of marketing.

Understanding of the relevant service offering.

    Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in winning significant business within a technically complex and highly regulated environment.

You'll have the autonomy to shape bid strategy, work with senior stakeholders and technical specialists, influence how bids are delivered and contribute directly to business growth.

If you're an experienced Tender Manager, Bid Manager or Bid Project Manager with a background in nuclear, decommissioning or another highly regulated sector, this could be an excellent next step.
