How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Construction Plant Operative Trainer / Tutor

    Location: Liverpool
    Employment Type: Full-Time or Fixed-Term Contract (FTC)
    Salary: Competitive / Dependent on Experience

    About the Role

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Construction Plant Operative Trainer / Tutor to join their team in Liverpool.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction plant professional looking to move into, or continue within, a training and education environment.

    The successful candidate will use their practical industry experience and technical knowledge to support and develop learners pursuing careers within the construction plant sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver high-quality training and tutoring to learners within construction plant operations.

    * Provide practical and theoretical instruction across relevant construction plant disciplines.

    * Support learners in developing the skills, knowledge and competence required for employment within the construction industry.

    * Plan and deliver engaging training sessions in line with relevant qualifications, standards and awarding-body requirements.

    * Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback and guidance.

    * Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate training and assessment records.

    * Ensure training is delivered in a safe, professional and inclusive environment.

    * Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety throughout all practical training activities.

    * Support learners with their development, progression and employability.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues and other industry professionals to ensure an effective learning experience.

    About You

    We are interested in hearing from candidates with a strong background in construction plant operations, combined with relevant training, tutoring or assessment experience.

    You may currently be working as a:

    * Construction Plant Operative

    * Plant Operator

    * Plant Instructor

    * Plant Trainer

    * Construction Tutor

    * Skills Tutor

    * Assessor

    * CPCS/NPORS Instructor

    * Construction Training Professional

    Candidates from a range of relevant industry backgrounds will be considered, provided they have the appropriate practical plant and construction experience.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    * Strong practical experience within the construction plant sector.

    * Good knowledge of construction plant operations and industry practices.

    * Ability to communicate effectively with learners from a range of backgrounds and abilities.

    * Strong commitment to health, safety and professional standards.

    * Ability to deliver both practical and classroom-based training.

    * Organised and able to manage learner progress and assessment requirements.
