How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and personal development.

Complete planning, preparation, assessment and marking associated with the role.
Make effective use of allocated PPA time to plan and prepare high-quality lessons and resources.
Contribute fully to the wider life of the school.
Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
Attend and contribute to relevant parents' evenings, meetings and school events where required.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and the wider school team.
    The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4.
Has strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Is confident taking full ownership of a class.
Can plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons independently.
Has high expectations of pupil progress, behaviour and attainment.
Is organised, reliable and able to work effectively within a job-share arrangement.
Builds positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
Is adaptable and able to become part of an established school community quickly.
Has a nurturing, enthusiastic and professional approach.
Is committed to providing consistency and continuity for pupils throughout the maternity cover period.
    What the School Offers

A welcoming and supportive school environment.
A well-established Year 4 class with the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
Dedicated PPA time for planning and preparation.
The opportunity to become fully involved in the wider life of the school.
A supportive working relationship with the Deputy Headteacher as job-share partner.
A long-term position through to the end of the academic year.
Potential opportunities for a future long-term or permanent appointment for the right candidate.
