How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Mental Health Support Workers

    Make a real difference every day.

    We are looking for caring, compassionate and reliable Mental Health Support Workers to join our team and provide person-centred support to individuals living with mental health needs, learning disabilities and other support needs.

    Our support workers play an important role in helping the people we support live as independently as possible, build confidence and enjoy a fulfilling quality of life.

    The role

    As a Mental Health Support Worker, you may support individuals with:

    *

    * Mental health needs and emotional wellbeing

    * Learning disabilities and associated support needs

    * Developing independence and daily living skills

    * Accessing the community and taking part in activities

    * Attending appointments and social activities

    * Meal preparation, shopping and household tasks

    * Personal care where required

    * Medication support, where appropriate and following training

    * Encouraging positive routines and healthy lifestyles

    * Building confidence, independence and meaningful relationships

    Every person we support is different, so you will provide individualised, respectful and compassionate support based on their needs, preferences and goals.

    About you

    You don't need to have all the answers — we're looking for people who are:

    *

    * Caring, patient and understanding

    * Reliable and responsible

    * Good listeners and communicators

    * Respectful of people's choices, dignity and independence

    * Comfortable supporting people with different needs

    * Able to work as part of a team

    * Positive, approachable and willing to learn

    Previous experience in mental health, learning disabilities, social care or personal care is desirable, but not always essential, as full training and support can be provided to the right candidates.

    What we offer

    *

    * Full training and ongoing development

    * A supportive team environment

    * Rewarding and meaningful work

    * Flexible working opportunities

    * The chance to make a genuine difference to people's lives

    If you're compassionate, dependable and want a career where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

    Apply today and become part of a team that helps people live happier, healthier and more independent lives
