How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support Worker, £14.00 per hour, Coulsdon. Days or nights available, up to £1,000 annual discretionary bonus and a clear rolling shift pattern.
    Male Support Worker
    Location: Chipstead Court, Chipstead, Coulsdon, CR5 3QW
    Salary: £14.00 per hour
    Contract: Full time, permanent
    Shifts: Days or nights available
    Hours: 39 paid hours per week on days or 37 paid hours per week on nights
    Working pattern: Rolling two week rota. Days 7:15am to 9:15pm. Nights 9:15pm to 7:15am
    Driving: Drivers preferred

    These vacancies are for male Support Workers. You must have at least six months’ previous care or support experience and be able to work the stated day or night rota.
    Drivers are preferred. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.
    You must already have the right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for these roles. We cannot take over existing sponsorship.

    Transforming Support Coulsdon is looking for Male Support Workers to join the team at Chipstead Court, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
    You will build trusted relationships, support everyday living and help each person achieve what matters to them. These are full time, permanent positions, with day and night opportunities available.
    Benefits include: A discretionary £1,000 annual bonus, 28 days’ annual leave including bank holidays and a fully funded enhanced DBS check.

    Transforming Support provides person centred supported living and outreach services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs across the UK.

    What you’ll be doing
    * Supporting individuals with everyday living and maintaining their independence.
    * Helping people make choices about their routines, activities and lifestyle.
    * Supporting access to the local community, appointments, education, employment and social activities.
    * Providing support with health needs and medication in line with agreed procedures.
    * Helping individuals manage their tenancy, finances and household responsibilities where required.
    * Building positive relationships with the people you support, their families and other professionals.
    * Encouraging confidence, independence and positive risk taking in line with support plans.
    * Maintaining accurate support records and completing required documentation.
    * Following safeguarding, health and safety and risk management procedures.
    * Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent support.
    About you
    Alongside at least six months’ care or support experience, you will bring:
    * A commitment to independence, dignity and choice.
    * A calm, respectful, reliable and responsible approach.
    * Good verbal and written communication skills.
    * The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    * Confidence supporting adults with individual and complex needs.
    * The ability to maintain accurate records and follow agreed support plans.
    * Availability for the required rolling two week shift pattern.
    * An understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety.
    Previous experience in supported living, learning disabilities or complex needs would be particularly useful.
    What you’ll get
    * £14.00 per hour, equivalent to £28,392 per annum for days or £26,936 per annum for nights.
