How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Operations Manager

    About the Company

Based in Beverley, in the heart of East Yorkshire, my client is a well-established, forward-thinking independent professional services firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, trusted advice to clients across the UK. The business combines the personal approach and close client relationships of an independent firm with the expertise, ambition and professional standards of a larger organisation. With a collaborative culture and a clear focus on service excellence, the firm continues to invest in its people, technology and operational infrastructure to support sustainable growth. This expansion has created an opportunity for a Business Operations Manager to play a central role in strengthening the systems, processes and resources that underpin client delivery, improve efficiency and support the next stage of the firm’s development.

    About the Role

Lead day-to-day operations and ensure the systems, processes and resources supporting client delivery run effectively. Working with senior leaders, the postholder will coordinate workflows, planning, management information, people administration, suppliers, marketing and events while improving efficiency, control and service quality.

    Key responsibilities

Business operations, client delivery and workflow

    * Coordinate new-client and engagement onboarding, ensuring information, approvals and handovers are completed accurately and on time.

    * Maintain CRM, workflow and document-management systems, with clear records of workloads, deadlines and actions.

    * Monitor work in progress, capacity and service performance, escalating risks or delays.

    * Coordinate resource planning with senior leaders to support client commitments.

    * Maintain procedures, controls and reporting that promote consistency, accountability and quality.

    * Identify bottlenecks, improve processes and support the adoption of new systems.

    People, learning and workplace operations

    * Maintain attendance, absence and holiday records, escalating sensitive matters appropriately.

    * Coordinate training, professional qualifications, study support and progress reviews.

    * Manage new-starter administration, system access, equipment and induction.

    * Track recurring reviews, renewals, compliance activities and internal deadlines.

    * Oversee workplace administration, suppliers, equipment, office services and scheduled health and safety checks.

    Marketing, communications and events

    * Manage the marketing calendar, including LinkedIn, website updates, articles, case studies and sector content.

    * Coordinate newsletters and client communications, maintaining accurate contact preferences.

    * Plan client, team and networking events, including venues, suppliers and invitations.

    * Ensure external communications are accurate, professional and consistent with the brand.

    Operational leadership and stakeholder coordination

    * Act as the operational link between leaders, employees, clients, suppliers and external advisers.

    * Turn business priorities into clear plans, responsibilities, deadlines and measures.

    * Maintain dashboards, calendars and checklists that support visibility and decision-making.

    * Resolve operational issues and escalate risks affecting service, people or business continuity.

    * Manage key suppliers, service agreements and operational expenditure.

    * Support client retention and business development through coordinated follow-up and improved client experience.

    Candidate profile

    * Experience in operations, office management or senior coordination, ideally within a client-focused professional environment.

    * Highly organised, systematic and able to manage competing priorities while improving processes.

    * A confident communicator who can work with senior stakeholders, secure decisions and challenge delays constructively.

    * Proactive, commercially aware and discreet when handling sensitive information.

    * Confident using CRM, workflow, document-management, Microsoft 365 and social media platforms.

    * Strong written communication, sound judgement and high professional standards
