An experienced Landscape Architect is required to join an established, design-led architectural practice in Birmingham. The business employs approximately 94 people across 3 offices in the UK with the Birmingham head office forming the largest studio. Following significant growth over recent years, the practice is looking to strengthen its established four person Landscape team with an experienced Landscape Architect who can work closely with the Associate Director and take increasing responsibility for project delivery.
The practice has an excellent pipeline of Education projects, with Landscape Architecture forming an integral part of its architectural offering. Current work includes numerous major DfE school developments, alongside substantial Higher Education schemes including university laboratories, medical schools and teaching facilities with individual project values reaching £150m. This is an excellent opportunity for a Landscape Architect looking to progress their career within a collaborative practice where there is genuine scope to take greater ownership of the Landscape function over time.
Landscape Architect Salary & Benefits
Salary up to £40,000 DOE.
37.5-hour working week.

Landscape Architect Job Overview
Work as part of the established Landscape Architecture team on projects throughout the UK.
Work predominantly across DfE Schools and Higher Education projects.
Develop landscape designs from initial concept through technical design and delivery.
Work on complex school developments where new facilities must be carefully phased around existing operational school environments.
Develop external spaces including hard and soft landscaping, sports facilities, play areas, secure boundaries and associated public realm.
Work closely with Architects to integrate landscape proposals into the wider design.
Produce landscape design information, drawings, specifications and presentation material.
Coordinate with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
Contribute to planning submissions and relevant landscape assessments.
Use Revit and AutoCAD to develop and coordinate project information.
Landscape Architect Job Requirements
Qualified Landscape Architect with approximately 4 years' post-qualification experience preferred.
Chartered Landscape Architect status advantageous.
Strong background within Landscape Architecture and the UK built environment.
Previous Education experience is strongly preferred, particularly schools and/or Higher Education.
Experience working on projects through multiple design and delivery stages.
Strong design ability combined with good technical knowledge.
Experience coordinating with Architects and wider multidisciplinary design teams.
