How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Procurement Assistant

    Based in Leatherhead

    Permanent

    £26,277.50pa

    The Procurement Assistant role is a busy and varied role supporting both Procurement and Finance. The postholder will take ownership of key monthly reporting, supplier reconciliations, rebates administration and stock related controls, working across Management Accounts, Procurement and Accounts Payable. The role manages large data sets for pricing and catalogue maintenance, investigates queries and variances and drives process improvement to strengthen cost control, auditability and operational efficiency.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Stock and procurement reporting, controls and audit support
    Action emails in the Van Stock inbox, prioritising where applicable
    Carry out Transfer Orders to move stock between locations
    Action Vehicle Stock requests, including: o Setting up and adding parts to the Vehicle Stock Replenishment lists for engineers and refreshing Vehicle Stock where required.
    Actioning authorised assets requested.
    Deliver stock reporting, including a monthly pack consisting of three reports to Divisional Managing Directors and the Group Finance Director.
    Support stock reconciliation activity and investigate stock related queries from business areas.
    Maintain effective auditing and control of stock processes, including stock adjustments and write off support.
    Review and action van stock audits for leavers and current engineersExperience:

    Experience in a finance, procurement or stock control environment, with exposure to reporting, reconciliations and query management
    Experience managing supplier data, catalogues, pricing files or similar master data activities
    Experience managing rebates or similar claims and accruals processes
