Responsibilities and duties of the Field Engineer role
As a Field Engineer, you will:
Perform installation and commissioning for electrical and power systems, including UPS, energy storage and critical power solutions.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across customer sites.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues to support customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored technical solutions.
Maintain compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
Consistently work to meet and exceed agreed performance benchmarks.
Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:
§ A strong background in electrical or electronic engineering.
§ An engineering education in Electrical Engineering.
§ Proven experience in field service, critical power or data centre environments.
§ Hands-on expertise in UPS systems, power electronics or similar technologies.
§ Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving capability.
§ Excellent communication and customer service skills.
§ A valid driver's licence.
