How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Description

    This Major UK Infrastructure organisation is looking for a commercially focused and highly analytical Business Performance / Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver high-quality insight, business / commercial intelligence, analysis and performance reporting across the organisation. You will turn customer, revenue and commercial data into clear, actionable recommendations that support effective decision making.

    You will regularly interact with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development. You will take ownership of executive reporting, KPI analysis, forecasting and financial modelling, while helping to improve reporting processes, data quality and analytical capability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Produce monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc performance reporting, including clear executive-level commentary.
    Maintain and enhance KPI reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities affecting business performance.
    Analyse customer segments, behaviour, frequency, retention and conversion, as well as marketing and commercial initiatives.
    Lead the development of traffic and revenue forecasts for annual budgets and periodic reforecasts.
    Maintain financial models and produce scenario and sensitivity analysis to quantify potential impacts.
    Act as an analytical partner to colleagues across Finance, Operations, Marketing and Business Development.
    Develop Power BI dashboards, improve reporting processes and identify opportunities to automate routine activity.
    Complete data validation, reconciliation and quality assurance, investigating anomalies and root causes.Key Skills & Experience:

    Proven experience in analytical, business performance, commercial insight or strategy role.
    Experience producing executive-level reporting and performance commentary.
    Strong capability with large datasets and a track record of identifying actionable insights.
    Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, strong problem-solving ability and excellent attention to detail.
    The ability to explain complex analysis clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders.
    Strong stakeholder management, business partnering and prioritisation skills.
    Experience within transport, infrastructure, customer-facing or regulated industries.
    Knowledge of customer lifecycle, retention, customer value or marketing ROI methodologies.
    Experience using SQL, Databricks or a similar development platform.
    Experience developing dashboards in Power BI or a similar tool.
    Experience improving or automating reporting processes.
