How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Corporate Tax Manager, you'll handle the day-to-day management of corporate tax affairs for a range of clients, ensuring compliance and offering expert advice where needed. Based near Heathrow, this role is key to supporting clients in the accountancy industry with their tax planning and strategic decisions.

    Client Details

    Our client is a well respected, mid-tier accountancy firm based in the Heathrow area. They are investing heavily in their corporate tax department (due to the rapid growth of their corporate tax portfolio) and they need additional resource to service the increased workload.

    Description

    Manage corporate tax compliance processes for a portfolio of clients.
    Provide expert advice on corporate tax planning and strategy.
    Review and prepare corporate tax computations and returns.
    Liaise with HMRC and clients to resolve tax queries and issues.
    Support clients with tax audits and investigations.
    Identify and implement tax-saving opportunities for clients.
    Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance.
    Assist in training and mentoring junior team members.Profile

    A successful Corporate Tax Manager should have:

    A professional qualification in accountancy or tax, such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
    Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation.
    Experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients.
    Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
    Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
    Proficiency in tax software and related tools.
