How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Support Administrator
    Location: Manchester – office based
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week
    Salary: Dependent on experience
    Contract: Permanent
We are looking for an organised and professional Support Administrator to join our growing team.
This is a varied role providing day-to-day administrative and business support across the organisation. You will work closely with the Operations & Business Support Manager and wider team, helping to ensure documents, reports, meetings, office facilities and general business support activities are managed efficiently.
The role would suit someone who is organised, has strong attention to detail and enjoys working across a varied range of administrative tasks. You will need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, communicating with colleagues and external contacts, and taking responsibility for ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    Role overview
As Support Administrator, you will play an important part in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
    Your responsibilities will include:
    * Document formatting, report production and submission preparation, ensuring documentation is accurate, well-presented and completed to required deadlines.
    * Managing stationery, kitchen refreshments and office supplies, monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders when required.
    * Arranging travel, accommodation and meetings.
    * Acting as a professional point of contact for the business, handling incoming calls, taking accurate messages and welcoming visitors to the office.
    * Maintaining filing systems and databases, ensuring information is filed correctly and records are kept up to date.
    * Supporting invoicing, compliance and operational processes.
    * Providing support with basic day-to-day IT hardware, systems and office equipment issues, escalating more technical problems where necessary.
    * Providing business continuity support during absences, helping to ensure essential day-to-day activities continue to run smoothly.
    * Providing general administrative support to the wider team as required.
    Skills and experience
We are looking for someone with a professional and positive approach who is organised, reliable and willing to learn.
    You will have:
    * Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
    * Good written and verbal communication skills.
    * A professional and confident telephone manner.
    * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
    * The ability to prioritise your workload and manage different tasks effectively.
    * A professional and positive attitude.
    * A willingness to learn and develop.
    * The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
    * The confidence and discretion to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
    Desirable experience
It would also be beneficial if you have:
    * Experience arranging and coordinating travel, accommodation and meetings.
    * Strong IT skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve day-to-day technical issues.
    * Good problem-solving skills and the confidence to use your initiative to identify and resolve issues.
    * InDesign/graphic design skills
    Career development
This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills and experience across administration, operations, facilities management and wider business support, working under the guidance of the Operations & Business Support Manager.
You will gain practical, hands-on experience across different areas of the business, with opportunities to build your confidence, take on increasing responsibility and further develop your organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
