How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Monitor material requirements and ensure materials are available when required by site teams.

    *

Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, site management and procurement teams to coordinate deliveries.

    *

Receive, check and record incoming materials, ensuring quantities and specifications are correct.

    *

Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, stock levels and outstanding orders.

    *

Monitor material usage and identify potential shortages or delays at an early stage.

    *

Ensure materials are stored correctly, securely and in accordance with site requirements.

    *

Coordinate the distribution of materials to plots, work areas and relevant subcontractors.

    *

Assist with maintaining an organised and efficient site storage and logistics operation.

    *

Report damaged, missing or incorrect materials and assist in resolving issues with suppliers.

    *

Work closely with the site management team to understand upcoming material requirements.

    *

Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site health & safety procedures.

    *

Help minimise material waste, damage and unnecessary costs.

    *

Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment.

    About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

    *

Previous experience as a Material Controller, Materials Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.

    *

Experience working on large-scale residential or housebuilding projects would be highly advantageous.

    *

A good understanding of construction materials and site operations.

    *

    Excellent organisational and communication skills.

    *

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.

    *

The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced site environment.

    *

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving material and delivery issues.

    *

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and relevant construction/site management systems.

    *

A strong understanding of health & safety requirements on a construction site.

    *

The ability to work effectively with site managers, trades, subcontractors and suppliers.

    What We Offer

    *

The opportunity to work on a major, high-profile residential development.

    *

Long-term work on a substantial construction project.

    *

A professional and supportive site team.

    *

    Competitive salary/package based on experience.
