How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mortgage Advisor

    Location: Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich
    Salary: Circa £35,000 Basic
    OTE: £70,000-£100,000
    Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

    About the Company

Our client is a highly successful and growing independent property group with an established presence across Norfolk and Suffolk.

Alongside its residential estate agency operation, the business has an established mortgage division which benefits from a significant and consistent flow of customers generated through the wider branch network.

With mortgage demand currently exceeding adviser capacity, they are looking for an additional Mortgage Advisor to join their team at their Norwich headquarters.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced broker looking for strong lead flow and earning potential, or a newly qualified adviser looking to develop within a supportive, high-volume mortgage environment.

    The Role

You'll provide mortgage advice to customers predominantly introduced through the wider estate agency network.

The business generates a significant volume of mortgage opportunities internally, meaning the focus of the role is on advising customers, writing business and managing your pipeline rather than having to generate an entire client bank yourself.

Advisers typically handle around five customer appointments per day, providing excellent scope to build a strong pipeline and maximise earnings.

You'll manage customers throughout the mortgage journey, understanding their circumstances, assessing suitable options and progressing applications through to completion while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer service.

You'll work from the company's Norwich headquarters alongside an established team, with administrative and business development support available to help maximise the amount of time advisers can spend with customers.

    Key Responsibilities

Provide professional mortgage advice to new and existing customers.

Manage a consistent pipeline of estate-agency-generated mortgage leads.

Conduct mortgage appointments and complete detailed customer fact-finds.

Assess customer circumstances, affordability and mortgage requirements.

Research and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.

Progress mortgage applications from initial appointment through to completion.

Maintain accurate and compliant customer files.

Work within the required compliance and regulatory framework.

Build strong relationships with customers and the wider estate agency branch network.

Manage a busy diary and active pipeline effectively.

    Identify appropriate protection opportunities.

Maintain regular communication with customers throughout their mortgage journey.

Deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

    About You

    CeMAP qualified.

Previous mortgage advisory experience is advantageous but not essential for the right newly qualified candidate.

Experienced advisers should be able to demonstrate a track record of writing and completing mortgage business.

Comfortable working within a busy, high-volume environment.

Confident managing multiple customer appointments and an active mortgage pipeline.

    Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

Comfortable working within a regulated and compliance-led environment.

Commercially minded and motivated by performance and earning potential.

Proactive, resilient and comfortable taking ownership of customers and cases.

Team-oriented and keen to continue developing your mortgage knowledge.

    What's on Offer

    Circa £35,000 basic salary.

Tiered commission structure based on business written and completions.

Realistic £70,000-£100,000 OTE for successful advisers.

Consistent flow of mortgage opportunities generated through the wider estate agency network.

Approximately five customer appointments per day depending on adviser capacity.

    Administrative and lead-management support.

    Established compliance and regulatory infrastructure.

Support and development from an experienced mortgage team.

Excellent opportunity for newly qualified advisers to develop within a high-volume environment.

    Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Office-based position at the company's Norwich headquarters.

Opportunity to join a growing mortgage operation backed by a successful independent property business
