How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Manage variation, instruction, query and action registers, monitoring progress and key commercial milestones.

    * Collate and coordinate supporting documentation, including quotations, drawings, site records, photographs and commercial evidence.

    * Prepare variation packs, commercial trackers, reports and supporting information for both internal and customer requirements.

    * Follow up outstanding actions, missing documentation and unresolved queries, escalating issues where appropriate.

    * Support applications for payment, invoicing activities and revenue administration processes.

    * Maintain commercial information within customer portals, business systems and document management platforms.

    * Produce regular reports covering variations, invoices, applications, commercial actions and performance information.

    * Support supplier and subcontractor administration activities and associated documentation.

    * Assist with commercial meetings by preparing information, recording actions and supporting follow-up activities.

    * Build effective working relationships with internal teams, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

    * Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes, reporting and record management practices.

    Skills Required

    * Experience within a commercial administration, project support, finance, construction, utilities or similar environment.

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.

    * High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with records, reports and financial information.

    * Experience maintaining trackers, registers and administrative records.

    * Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    * Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

    * Experience using CRM systems, document management platforms, customer portals or similar systems.

    * Ability to proactively identify information gaps and follow through on outstanding actions.

    * Commercial awareness and an interest in variations, invoicing, project administration and cost control.

    * Positive, proactive and solution-focused approach to work.

    Educational Requirements

    * Good standard of English and Mathematics.

    * Relevant qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Commercial Management or a related discipline is advantageous.

    * Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
