How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive planning professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and is passionate about delivering efficient, well-coordinated programmes of work.

    Responsibilities

    * Coordinate and maintain operational programmes, ensuring work is planned in line with business priorities, resource availability and customer requirements.

    * Support the scheduling and sequencing of works to maximise operational efficiency and productivity.

    * Identify planning constraints, dependencies and readiness issues that may impact delivery.

    * Allocate work activities and maintain accurate planning records and programme information.

    * Support the mobilisation of projects by ensuring required planning inputs, approvals and prerequisites are in place.

    * Monitor resource availability and utilisation, supporting effective workforce and subcontractor planning.

    * Coordinate material requirements and support work readiness activities.

    * Communicate programme updates and scheduling changes with operational teams and stakeholders.

    * Support planning administration, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

    * Contribute to the successful delivery of projects through accurate planning, coordination and communication.

    Skills Required

    * Experience in planning, scheduling, programme coordination or operational support within utilities, infrastructure, construction or a similar environment.

    * Understanding of operational planning, resource scheduling and programme coordination principles.

    * Knowledge of utility operations, streetworks and operational delivery processes.

    * Experience coordinating direct labour, subcontractors or operational resources.

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands.

    * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate programme information.

    * Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Ability to identify risks, constraints and operational challenges and escalate where appropriate.

    * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to supporting delivery.

    * Experience using planning, scheduling and reporting systems; e.g. Salesforce, Inspire Planner, Power BI, Microsoft Excel and programme management software.

    * Ability to work collaboratively within a busy operational environment.

    Educational Requirements

    * Relevant experience in planning, scheduling, programme coordination or operational administration.

    * Industry-related qualifications or training within utilities, infrastructure or construction are advantageous.

    * Knowledge of NRSWA requirements, operational delivery processes, NEC early-warning principles or change-control processes is desirable.
