Supreme Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator to join a well-established and highly regarded manufacturer of bespoke metalwork for the architectural industry, based in Smethwick.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator with strong hands-on fabrication experience who is looking for a stable, permanent position with excellent earning potential and genuine opportunities for progression.

What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong fabrication experience who are confident working from engineering drawings and producing high-quality metalwork from start to finish.
You should have experience with:
* Fabricating staircases, handrails and architectural metalwork desirable but not essential
* Reading and working accurately from engineering drawings
* Using grinders, brake presses and other metal cutting and shaping machinery
* Measuring, marking out and preparing materials for fabrication
* MIG and/or TIG welding
* Working to a high standard of accuracy and finish
* Working independently and as part of a team
Previous experience within architectural metalwork would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong general fabrication experience will also be considered.
The role
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Fabricating bespoke and feature staircases
* Manufacturing handrails and other architectural metalwork
* Working from detailed engineering drawings
* Cutting, shaping and preparing metal using a range of machinery
* Using brake presses, grinders and other fabrication equipment
* MIG/TIG welding when required
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard of quality and finish
