How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Business Development Manager – Public Sector

    IntaPeople are helping a software consultancy in Cardiff to scale up the sales team with a Business Development Manager.  The base salary is up to £60,000 with an OTE of up to £100,000.

    About the company

    They are a consultancy who build bespoke software for public and private sector companies, from custom integrations to CRMs, bespoke web applications and legacy system transformations.

    Based in Llanishen, they have a hybrid set up with 3 days per week in the office.

    They are a genuinely lovely team with a motivating and nurturing culture.

    About the role:

    The role will focus on driving revenue growth across their public sector portfolio, with a focus on Local Authorities, Higher Education institutions, and Housing Associations (Tier 2).

    The role is primarily responsible for creating and shaping new opportunities ahead of formal procurement, finding short term opportunities outside of formal tenders.

    The role will also support the development of strategic partnerships and framework-based opportunities, to enable access to larger and more complex public sector programmes (Tier 1)

    You will generate qualified, influenced new business opportunities within Tier 2 public sector and build/maintain senior level relationships that position the company as a trusted partner

    The BDM will grow revenue from existing public sector clients through strategic account management growth as well as increase the company’s visibility and success within Tier 1 public sector frameworks and partner led bids.

    About you:

    Previous BDM experience within a tech company is required, a background of working with public sector companies is a huge bonus

    The client requires knowledge of frameworks such as G-Cloud 15 and DOS 7

    Bid management experience would be beneficial.

    You will be required to attend the office 3 days per week.
