How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced BMS professional to become part of a technically complex, high-value development, working alongside an established site and engineering team throughout a key stage of the build.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supervising and coordinating BMS installation, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, drawings and programme requirements.

    The Role

As the BMS Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising BMS installation and engineering activities across the project, working closely with the wider MEP and commissioning teams.

    Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising BMS installation works across the project in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.

Coordinating BMS activities with mechanical, electrical, commissioning and construction teams.

Managing and supervising BMS subcontractors and specialist engineers on site.

Monitoring installation progress and ensuring works are delivered in line with the project programme.

Reviewing drawings, specifications, technical documentation and method statements to ensure works are installed correctly.

Supporting the testing, commissioning and handover of BMS systems.

Coordinating BMS point-to-point testing, controls integration and system functionality checks.

Working closely with Commissioning Managers, Project Managers, Engineers and Site Management to resolve technical issues.

Identifying and addressing installation issues, defects and technical queries throughout the project.

Ensuring BMS works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements, RAMS and site procedures.

Monitoring the quality of installation and ensuring work meets the required standards.

Assisting with the coordination and integration of BMS systems with wider mechanical and electrical services.

Supporting commissioning activities and ensuring outstanding work and defects are effectively closed out.

Maintaining accurate records of progress, inspections, testing and commissioning activities.

Attending coordination and progress meetings where required.

Providing technical support and guidance to site teams and specialist subcontractors.

    About You

We are looking for an experienced BMS professional with a strong background in construction, MEP installation and engineering supervision, ideally with previous experience working on large-scale or technically complex projects.

    You should have:

Proven experience working as a BMS Supervisor, BMS Engineer, BMS Site Supervisor or similar.

Strong knowledge of BMS and building controls systems.

Previous experience within a major MEP / construction environment.

Experience supervising BMS installation and specialist subcontractors.

Good understanding of BMS controls, HVAC systems and mechanical services integration.

Experience with testing, commissioning and handover of BMS systems.

The ability to read and interpret BMS drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

    Strong coordination and communication skills.

A professional approach to health, safety, quality and compliance.

The ability to work effectively as part of a large multidisciplinary project team.

Experience on large-scale mixed-use, commercial, residential or similarly complex developments would be advantageous.

    The Project

You will be joining a major mixed-use development in Central London, providing the opportunity to work on a large-scale and technically demanding project with a leading Tier 1 MEP contractor.

The development will involve a wide range of complex building services and MEP systems, requiring a high level of coordination between BMS, mechanical, electrical, commissioning and construction teams.

This role would suit an experienced BMS professional who enjoys working on major projects and is looking to join a highly professional project environment.
