How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Meetings & Events Manager

    Location: South Kensington, London

Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend flexibility required for major events and client visits

We are looking for a commercially focused Meetings & Events Manager to join a well-established 4-star hotel in South Kensington.

This is a hands-on role taking ownership of the full Meetings & Events booking journey, from initial enquiry and conversion through to planning, operational handover and event delivery.

You will be responsible for maximising revenue across the hotel's meeting and event spaces, building strong client relationships and working closely with Revenue, Food & Beverage, Front Office and other operational teams to ensure every event runs smoothly.

    The Role

    You will:

    * Manage Meetings & Events enquiries from initial contact through to confirmation and event delivery

    * Convert incoming enquiries and identify opportunities to maximise revenue

    * Build strong relationships with existing clients and encourage repeat business

    * Develop new business opportunities and support the hotel's wider commercial strategy

    * Conduct client meetings, site visits and hotel show-rounds

    * Prepare proposals, manage amendments and ensure all event details are accurately recorded

    * Work closely with Revenue and operational teams on pricing, availability and event requirements

    * Prepare and monitor Meetings & Events forecasts and business levels

    * Lead regular meetings covering upcoming events and operational requirements

    * Monitor client feedback and resolve any issues professionally

    * Support and develop the Events team while maintaining high service standards

    About You

We are looking for someone with previous Meetings & Events experience, ideally gained within a hotel, venue or similar hospitality environment.

    You should have:

    * Strong Meetings & Events and planning experience

    * A commercial mindset with the ability to convert enquiries and maximise revenue

    * Confidence dealing directly with corporate and private clients

    * Excellent organisation and attention to detail

    * Strong communication and relationship-building skills

    * Experience working across multiple hotel departments

    * Experience using Opera or a similar hotel/events management system

    * Previous experience supporting, supervising or managing a team

    * A good understanding of the London Meetings & Events market

    * A proactive and professional approach

This could suit an experienced Meetings & Events Manager, or a strong Assistant M&E Manager / Senior M&E Executive ready to take the next step in their career.

If you have a strong Meetings & Events background and enjoy combining sales, client management and event planning, we would be keen to hear from you
