How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    At Beagle Aircraft, we manufacture precision-engineered components and assemblies for demanding aerospace applications.

    We’re looking for an experienced QMS Engineer to join our Quality team in Christchurch.

    Reporting to the Head of Quality, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, developing and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS), supporting compliance with AS9100, applicable NADCAP requirements and customer-specific quality standards.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Quality Systems, Quality Engineering or Auditing who enjoys working across a manufacturing business to improve processes, strengthen compliance and deliver lasting improvements.

    The Role

    You’ll work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering and other process owners, supporting the day-to-day effectiveness of the QMS and ensuring quality requirements are understood and consistently applied.

    A key part of the role will be managing internal audit activity, supporting external certification and customer audits, maintaining controlled QMS documentation and ensuring findings and corrective actions are effectively managed through to closure.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive salary and company pension

    * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    * Healthcare benefits

    * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

    * Holiday Purchase Scheme

    * Birthday Leave

    * Long service awards

    * career development opportunities

    * Free onsite parking

    * Early finish Friday

    What You’ll Be Doing

    * Maintain and continuously improve the QMS in accordance with AS9100 and applicable customer requirements.

    * Maintain controlled quality procedures, processes, records and QMS documentation.

    * Plan and conduct internal process and system audits.

    * Support AS9100 certification, customer and applicable NADCAP audits, coordinating evidence with relevant process owners.

    * Manage audit findings and corrective actions through to closure, verifying their effectiveness.

    * Support structured root cause analysis for quality-system non-conformances and recurring issues.

    * Provide practical guidance on QMS procedures, document control and audit readiness.

    * Monitor and report on audit performance, corrective-action closure and emerging compliance risks.

    About You

    We’re looking for someone with practical QMS and auditing experience gained within a manufacturing environment.

    You’ll ideally have:

    * At least two years’ experience in Quality Management Systems and/or auditing within manufacturing.

    * Working knowledge of AS9100 and experience auditing against a recognised QMS standard.

    * Experience planning, conducting and documenting internal audits.

    * Experience managing audit findings and corrective actions through to effective closure.

    * Strong knowledge of document control and QMS record management.

    * Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to work across Quality, Production and Engineering.

    * Experience within aerospace manufacturing, NADCAP or customer-specific aerospace quality requirements would be advantageous.

    * AS9100 Internal/Lead Auditor training and knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys or similar root cause techniques would be beneficial.

    Why Join Beagle Aircraft?

    This is an opportunity to play an important role in the continued development of Quality within a specialist aerospace manufacturing environment.

    You’ll work across the wider manufacturing operation, supporting AS9100 compliance, internal and external audits, corrective actions, NADCAP requirements and continuous improvement.

    Rather than simply maintaining documentation, you’ll have the opportunity to identify where processes can be strengthened and work with teams to make sustainable improvements.

    If you’re currently working as a QMS Engineer, Quality Systems Engineer, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor or AS9100 Auditor and are looking for your next opportunity in aerospace, we’d like to hear from you
